“Our Fairs, our pride” is the latest communication plan promoted and distributed on web, video and press channels by CFI, the Italian Trade Shows Committee, to reaffirm the relevance of the Italian exhibitions sector across the socio-economic fabric of Italy.
The expos business sector, like others related to it, came to a screeching halt during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now the industry movers and shakers feel the need to make their voices heard, and all of us at Vitrum, a member of CFI, wish to join them in loudly declaring we take pride in being part of this industry and in promoting it every day, with great passion.
A sector that reaffirms its right to resume operations pursuant to the prevailing health and safety regulations, and receive Government funding suitable to cover the losses incurred as a result of compulsory business lockdowns during the Covid-19 pandemic.
To face this unprecedented situation, we already invested in staff training, devices and equipment suitable to ensure we can resume operations in full abidance of all prevailing Covid-19 prevention and safety regulations.
Nonetheless, we trust that the Italian Government will provide the financial support required to help us recover from the losses incurred due to mandatory lockdowns which, except for a few, very brief periods of respite, have been on-going since March of 2020.
Our sector’s plea has already gained a certain level of visibility. The financial magazine MF relayed the message on the fourth page of the 16 March 2021 issue, and on March 17 it received prominent coverage via full-page articles published on Il Resto del Carlino, La Nazione, and Il Giorno.
Attached below is the manifest of the initiative, which we invite you to distribute and share with anyone who might identify with our position.
Proud to be in the expo business; proud to be VITRUM.
We look forward to seeing you at Fiera Milano Rho this 5-8 October, for the ‘relaunch’ VITRUM edition.
